Roxburgh Reivers and a snowy Elibank played host to the penultimate event in this year’s South of Scotland Orienteering League on 8 February. Despite the inclement weather conditions in the days preceeding the event, and a rather bitter wind on the day itself, over 115 competitors made the journey to the Tweed vallety to sample planner Robin Sloan’s courses. Feedback at the download ‘trailer’ indicated that most people enjoyed the challenging courses, surely added to by the novelty of running through snow in the higher parts of the forest. Although most Reivers were involved with helping on the day, some club members still managed a run. Notable results included Andrew Tullie (2nd on the Green course) and brother Douglas (4th on the Blue course), with Karen Maxwell 5th on the Yellow course.
