The Selkirk Hill community group have been busy mowing the paths and chopping down thickets uncovering depressions :).  The map has been updated as far as possible but there is still a lot of high summer undergrowth in many of the open areas so those will need to wait for their update.  I have, however, found lots of good control sites in non-undergrowth areas and old hands will visit some new places.

Parking:  self-park at the Argus Centre near Selkirk High School.  HERE.   Please park nicely and don’t block any doorways.  You can of course cycle to the event and leave your bike at Registration.

Registration/Start/Finish/Download:  are all 700m east along the road from the Centre, on the road to Buxton which is a dead-end.  You can leave clothing/valuables in Lindsey’s car which will be parked in the small car park there.

Starts:  1 – 2 pm.  Registration open from 12:45.   Courses close at 3pm.

Courses: Yellow (easy) 1.7km shortest sensible route, Orange (medium difficulty) 2.4km shortest sensible route, Light Green (medium/hard difficulty) 3.1km shortest sensible route.

Map:  The scale is 1:5000.  Partly updated autumn 2024.

Timing:  Sportident electronic timing will be used.  If you don’t have your own timing dibber (i.e. chip) you can hire a manual one for free or a contactless one for 50p.

Entry fees: Senior member £4, Junior member £2, Senior non-member £5, Junior non-member £2.50.  Contactless dibber hire +50p,  older manual dibber free hire.
