As part of the support to restart our sport, the SOA Board of Directors last week approved that those joining or renewing their SOA membership as of the 1st May will do so at half price. We hope this will provide some incentive for new families and individuals to join, especially those that have recently started orienteering or those who have sampled it through MapRun activities. The price of adult membership will be £5 and Juniors £1 from 1st May (their membership will run until 31st December 2021). Add Roxburgh Reivers club fee of £1 and 50p to these figures making a very modest total of £6 and £1.50 respectively for 8 months membership. Join online via the following link.

Andrew Hewat, Hon RR President and Life Member
As some of you will be aware Andrew Hewat, one of the clubs founders, sadly passed away on Christmas Eve. I’ve written a small tribute for the SOA website which you can view here
Membership for 2013
Existing members will have already received their renewal papers for 2013. Any new members joining after 1 November will get membership until 31 December 2013 and a new structure makes it relatively cheap – only £2 for Juniors, and £13 for Seniors. The “Join” webpage has been updated.
New format for RRoar
You may have noticed that Roxburgh Reiver’s website and newspage, RRoar, has a new format. Posts can now be searched and sorted using the options on the righthand side of the screen. You can also add comments to news articles using the comments option below each posting.
Apologies for any disruption whilst the transfer to the new system takes place!
“O-suits” you sir!
The Club’s new O-tops have finally arrived from Norway and have apparently already been attracting admirers in the forest!
The tops are available in two styles, the “baggy” style modelled here and a more sporting slimline fit and are made by Norwegain kit manufacturer Trimtex.
If you would like one, John has a limited number of spares – otops@roxburghreivers.org.uk.
