Our next event is at Tweedbank on Saturday 18 January and incorporates the club championships.  We’ll then retire to The Barns for our AGM.   Please note the important instructions on the event link on the right hand side of this page.

A big weekend coming up with the final of the CompassSport Trophy on Sunday 20th.  Roxburgh Reivers are one of the 10 clubs to make the finals in the Forest of Dean and have a team of 25 heading south.  A team meal in Dr Fosters Restaurant in Gloucester on Saturday evening will hopefully set us up for a good day on Sunday.   Forth Valley Orienteers, last years winners when the event was held at Teviothead, have a reduced team this year but still look strong.

Good news – despite being a couple of runners short Roxburgh Reivers have qualified for the 2013 final of the CompassSport Trophy, finishing in 3rd place behind FVO and Clyde.  With a full team I reckon we would have given Clyde a run for their money.  The event at Birsemore was actually a bit of a disappointment due to recent thinning, deep snow on the top and some strange planning in places.

Keep the weekend of 19/20 October free for the final in the Forest of Dean which is generally very nice and runnable.  Routegadget for a previous event is HERE
