Roxburgh Reivers fielded a full team in The Jamie Stevenson Trophy for the first time in a number of years at the Event in Muirward Wood on Sunday 16th June.
The Reivers had runners in Yellow Boys (Yousuf Khursheed, Sam McKinnon and Calum Murray), Orange Boys (Faisal Khursheed, Marc Heger and Patrick Heger) and Green Girls (Karen Maxwell)
Reivers were up against a number of strong teams in the competition. In terms of numbers, MAROC, Moravian and INVOC had the biggest teams. Other Clubs represented were Forth Valley, ECKO, Grampian, Interlopers, Clyde, Edinburgh Southern and Tay.
MAROC retained the Trophy with Forth Valley close behind.
Roxburgh picked up two individual prizes. Yousuf Khursheed won the Yellow Boys event (and Yellow overall) being nearly a minute ahead of the second placed runner.
Karen didn’t make the podium in the Green Girls, but she did win the Over 14 Ladies run in prize with a time of 27 seconds from the last control to the finish.
The event was good experience for the new members of the Club. Everyone put in a very creditable performance.
