A superb week of orienteering and weather – it’ll be hard to beat !

Day 1: Dalrulzion. A new area and quite tough going. Jim and Judy in a grotty white area on the map but walk-only on the ground. The rest of us faster underfoot but it got faster so our early starts meant lower results. 2nd place for John T on M50L and an excellent 2nd for Douglas T on the World Ranking M21E, 3rd for Fiona on W35L

Day 2: Our day at Kinnoull. Lovely sunny day and no major hiccups. 2nd for Fiona and Karen. 3rd for Kirstin.

Day 3: Tullochroisk. Very wet and windy but the car parking fields held up. Download tent blew down in the night so got moved to barn. Late starts meant muddy conditions in the woods. John 1st.

Day 4: Tentsmuir. Scorching hot day, fast and flat. John 4th behind the flyers. Club BBQ at Tentsmuir enjoyed by all.

Day 5: Barry Buddon. Hot again. Fast again. A win for Fiona and 3rd for John. A great area.

Day 6: Loch Ordie: Tough, really tough underfoot with high heather and mud. No problem for John winning by a clear margin to win M50L, but turning an ankle in the deep mud on the last leg. Also no problem for Fiona, winning the day again to take 2nd overall.
