20th November Update:
Map: 1:5,000 with 5m contours, recently updated and blank map will be on display at Registration.
Paths: similar to Bowhill last week, many of the trees at Gala are deciduous, so care needed to follow paths under the leaf litter and some path junctions may be difficult to spot.
Boardwalks and bridges: Boardwalks and steps have not been mapped, but take care on these as they can be quite slippery. The little bridges over streams also need care.
A7 Road Closure: if planning to travel via Selkirk, please check out road closure details and alternative routes. Written directions to Galashiels Swimming Pool more complex than reading the location map – you are orienteers after all!
