What: RR Christmas social
Where: Harestanes visitor centre (NT642244), followed by a meal at the Buccleuch Arms Hotel, St Boswells
When: 11am, 2 December 2006
Getting there: Turn off the A68 to Nisbet, just south of the Ancrum junction.
Activities: Mostly folk decide on the day what they want to do, nothing needs to be planned. More details about Harestanes.
Options include:

  • various waymarked walks
  • run to explore Peniel Heugh
  • possible linear run on St Cuthberts Way to St Boswells, about 9 miles via Maxton Bridge. (need to arrange transport one way)
  • cycling – Ian Maxwell will know some routes

    Lunch: Meal at the Buccleuch Arms Hotel, St Boswells afterwards (1:30pm) – £12.95 for three courses and coffee. Please email Robin Sloan (details below) asap if you wish to come to the meal so that he can confirm numbers with the hotel.
