FVO won this year’s Scottish Relay Championships at mainly sunny Bowhill today, with Interlopers coming second. FVO comfortably won with a winning time of 1:52:05, some ten minutes ahead of Interlopers. Third place was taken by Team Edinburgh from Edinburgh University Orienteering Club.
FVO also won the newly introduced handicap competition, proving that the handicap system devised to even out the competition still requires some further tweaking. As if that was not enough, FVO also managed a near clean sweep of the spot prizes for the winning times on each of planner James Tullie’s courses.
Despite organising the event, there was some success for Roxburgh Reivers, with club member Kirstin Maxwell winning the ‘Best Junior’ prize for her 19th place on the Orange course running for Tay.

In addition to the usual competition, all competitors are invited to join Roxburgh Reivers for a BYOF (bring your own food) barbecue – we will provide the fire!
