New format for RRoar

You may have noticed that Roxburgh Reiver’s website and newspage, RRoar, has a new format. Posts can now be searched and sorted using the options on the righthand side of the screen. You can also add comments to news articles using the comments option below each posting.

Apologies for any disruption whilst the transfer to the new system takes place!

Forthcoming events- Club Champs and AGM

Following on from the Saturday morning event at Bowhill on 18 February, the annual Club championships will take place. This event is open to all club members and involves an ingenious handicap system. The event will start with a mass start at around 12:15pm. If you would like to take part please let Rob Cranston know (email secretary@roxburghreivers.org.uk).

The Club Championships will be followed by a haggis lunch in the visitor centre at Bowhill and the 2006 AGM.

Parking is at the top car park.

Forthcoming events – Saturday mornings

Roxburgh Reivers will be hosting several events over the next month or so.

Firstly, there will be Saturday morning events at Gala Hill (21 January) and Bowhill (18 February). These events are aimed at newcomers to the sport and existing club members looking for a training run, with Yellow (easy), long Yellow (easy, for runners) and Orange (some experience advisable) courses on offer.

Starts will be from 10:30am to 12 noon, and entry fees will be £2 for seniors and £1 for juniors.

RR Christmas lunch

The club Christmas lunch will take place at the Glentress Hotel on 3 December, after ESOC’s local event at Glentress (see the Fixtures page for more details). The cost is £14.50 for three courses and coffee (see the menu choices).

“O-suits” you sir!

The tops are available in two styles, the “baggy” style modelled here and a more sporting slimline fit and are made by Norwegain kit manufacturer Trimtex.
