About 30 people braved the wet weather for a rather splashy run round the park where Calum Murray won the lavish prize for fastest to find 5 controls, some of which had had to be moved to avoid the floods waters. We then enjoyed a buffet feast safe in the knowledge that we’d earned it !
The next club event returns to a normal format with the club championships at Tweedbank on 16 January 2016.
We were disappointed to have to postpone the Traquair event but we’re planning on rescheduling it in the spring as part of our Sprint Series of which we’ll publish details once all the permissions are in place.
The Christmas Dinner did go ahead though, and we enjoyed an excellent meal in good company.
Please make sure you read the event information for Traquair beforehand – the Starts window is slightly shorter than usual and there’s a twist to the harder course.

A good turnout for our first woodland event of the autumn season and although the weather was a bit dull you hopefully were able to admire the autumnal colours on the trees.
Two timing boxes had printed numbers on them that didn’t match their internal numbers so one or two people were initially disqualified until I fixed the problem.

The next event is at Gordon Community Woodland on 14 November.
