An urban double-header weekend 10 – 11 June 2023

Visit the stunning Scottish Borders in June for a weekend of racing and sightseeing.

Lots to do when you’re not racing – explore a few Abbeys or Castles, visit some Stately Homes, collect a few Turfs, wander along majestic rivers, nip up The Eildon Hills, or just find a nice viewpoint and drink in the scenery (Scott’s View near Melrose for example).

Bowhill 1/10/22

Details on the event webpage via the link on the right hand side of this page (or via the Menu then Events if you’re viewing on your phone) .

Update 30/9/22: The link for pre-entries has now closed but there are plenty of maps so just turn up and enter on the day.

Autumn series

The first in the autumn series is at Selkirk Hill on Saturday 10/89/22. If possible please pre-enter via the link on the event page (to the right hand side of this page). Enter without obligation to turn up, no payment needed if you don’t make it. Pre-entering helps save time on the day and also saves us printing excess maps.

Later events will also be pre-enter preferred, check each page out nearer the time.

Come and Try / Autumn series

Our August Come and Try series kicks off at Melrose on 20 August. There will be 2 courses at each event, one for beginners/families plus one for runners with a bit of experience which will be good training (designated as “Club” course but open to everyone)

Waterproof maps and electronic timing at all events.

Forthcoming events

The club is having a break for the school holidays but we’ll be back doing local events starting on 20 August with our first in a series of 6 Come and Try events in Melrose, Gordon, St.Boswells, Oxton, Newtown St. Boswells and Lauder. Courses and help for beginners plus something a little harder for the more experienced. All welcome.

The CATI series is followed by our usual Autumn series. Venues this year are Selkirk Hill, Bowhill, Teviothead and Lanton.

More details will be added to the website nearer the time. Meantime there are still events happening elsewhere over the summer ( see https://www.britishorienteering.org.uk/event) plus some virtual courses (see the menu heading on this website).
