2026 Club Champs and Open Event – Dundock, Coldstream
We’re back to the fun of the rhododendrons of Dundock Wood for our January event which will include our RR Club Championships.
Please note a change to insurance cover: As from 1/1/26 participants who are not members of British Orienteering are not covered by British Orienteering’s public liability insurance. By entering this event, you acknowledge that you are taking part at your own risk. For example, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the event, you would not be covered.
Parking: The small car park off the A697 at NT 819 398. Map HERE
Starts: 11:00 – 12:00
Courses: A score event for the club championships and open event, plus a Yellow for beginners.
Club Championships: will be a handicap system as usual.
Terrain: A maze of paths and small clearings amongst a huge area of rhododendrons. Some paths are muddy in all weathers, wear suitable footwear.
Safety: The car park will be busy, please take care especially if you have young children with you. You may encounter walkers, dogs, horses – be courteous and pass quietly. Anyone with a relevent medical condition which we should be aware of may leave a sealed envelope with the details on it with Organiser which they can retrieve unopened after they Finish. Entries: Pre-entries will open after Christmas. Pre-entry essential for club members wishing to get a handicap.
Entry fees: Senior members £4.50, Junior members £2.25, Non-members £5.50 / £2.75. Fees payable by card (preferably), exact cash, or by BACS.
Timing: Sportident timing. Hire of contactless dibber 50p, hire of older manual dibber Free.
Clothing/Footwear: Full leg cover is compulsory. Shoes with some grip recommended.
