Christmas lunch in Traquair Arms at 2pm.  There are 2 menus to choose from, mix and match from either is OK as each course is individually priced.  Let Lindsey know of any allergies etc. (details below).  Could everyone competing and then going to the lunch please help bring in some controls and generally tidy up. Christmas Menu.  Winter Menu.  Orders required no later than Tuesday 2/12 and cancellations after that may need paid for.

Starts:  11:30 – 11:45 am.  Courses close at 1pm

Parking:  Traquair House, down the drive near the Estate Office. Entry from the minor road B7062.  Map HERE

Facilities:  None, the House, Grounds and Coffee Shop are closed for the season. Use the toilet facilities in Innerleithen before you arrive.

Courses:  One Light Green course (a flat 3.9km approx, optimum route) which will, of course, include a trip to the Maze – you’d be disappointed if it didn’t wouldn’t you !  There are 2 loops so there’s the option to do a short Light Green of about 2.3km. Also an easier course of about Yellow+ standard but please pre-enter for this if you can as we won’t print many extra maps.

Map:   The map scale is 1:3000.  An extract of the Maze is in a separate box, blown up to make it (hopefully) clearer to read.  A magnifer might be handy for poorer eyesights !  The Light Green is printed with a turnover at the point where there is the choice of finishing there or doing the whole course.

Terrain:  Flat, easy offroad, paths, fields, small amount of paved paths/road. Could be muddy in places so shoes with some grip required but not metal dobbs as they might cause damage to some paved surfaces.

Entries:  Pre-entries have now closed. A small number of extra maps have been ordered for late entries, email Lindsey (details below) to book on.

Entry fees: Senior members £4.50,  Junior members £2.25,  Non-members £5.50 / £2.75. Fees payable by card (preferably), exact cash, or by BACS.   Additional maps £1 each.

Timing:  Sportident timing.  Hire of contactless dibber 50p, hire of older manual dibber Free.
