Selkirk Hill (incl. RR Night Championships)

The venue for the inaugural club Night Championships is Selkirk Hill.
Parking: self-park at the Argus Centre near Selkirk High School. HERE. Please park nicely and don’t block any doorways.
Registration/Start/Finish/Download: are all 700m east along the road from the Centre, on the road to Buxton which is a dead-end. You can leave clothing/valuables in Paul’s van which will be parked in the small car park there.
Start: Mass start at 6:30pm. Allow time to park, walk along the road and register.
Entries: Pre-entries have now closed. If you would like a late entry email Paul to check map availability
Entry fees: Senior members £4.50, Junior members £2.25, Non-members £5.50 / £2.75. Fees payable by card (preferably), exact cash, or by BACS.
Timing: Sportident timing. Hire of contactless dibber 50p, hire of older manual dibber Free.
Course: One Score-type course, medium difficulty, suitable for most abilities but any young juniors should be accompanied. 40 minutes to find as many of the 23 controls as possible, 10 points per control, penalty for taking more than 40 minutes, bonus points for clearing the course with time to spare. Exact numbers TBC.
Club championsips: Club members who enter beforehand will get a handicap which will remain a secret. Example: if your handicap is 200 and you score 180 your % score is 90%. Highest % wins. Non-club members are very welcome to run but won’t get a handicap.
SAFETY: You are strongly advised to carry a back-up light of some sort in case of failure of your main light – a small torch, or your phone, anything that would get you back to the Finish.
